How Odyssey Earn payouts work
Cash-out currently unlocks at 10 000 available VP. Choose Airtime or PayShap, review the fee and net amount, submit a request, then track its status in your Wallet.
Cash-out is submitted for review. Odyssey does not promise instant payment or a fixed processing time, and current payout rules can change under the Terms.

Choose Airtime or PayShap
Airtime uses a valid 10-digit South African mobile number. PayShap uses the ShapID for the intended payout account.

Choose the VP amount
The current minimum request is 10 000 VP. You cannot request more VP than your available balance.

Review gross, fee and net payout
Odyssey shows the current 12% cash-out fee and the amount you will receive before the request is submitted.

Submit the cash-out request
Cash-out is a request for review, not an instant-transfer promise. After submission, you can track the request in your Wallet.

These are the two cash-out methods currently exposed by the Odyssey Earn Wallet. Both are submitted for review and use the same current cash-out fee.
Airtime
Send value to a South African mobile number
Enter a valid 10-digit South African mobile number as the Airtime destination. Odyssey does not publish a guaranteed mobile-network list on this page.

Use the ShapID for the intended payout account
Enter the PayShap ShapID and confirm that it belongs to the intended payout account before submitting the cash-out request.

What the Wallet statuses mean
Requested
Your cash-out request has been created and is waiting for review or processing.
Processing
The request is being handled. Processing time can vary and is not guaranteed.
Paid
The request was completed. The Wallet can show a payout reference and paid date when available.
Failed
The request did not complete. The Wallet can show a reason; when the redemption refund is confirmed, held VP is returned through Odyssey's VP controls.
No fixed payout SLA is published.
Processing time may vary. Odyssey can delay, reject or request additional information where reasonably necessary for fraud review, security checks, or an incorrect or unverifiable payout destination.

What is the minimum Odyssey Earn cash-out?
The current minimum is 10 000 available VP. At the current base value of 1 VP = R0.01, that is R100.00 before the current 12% cash-out fee.
How much do I receive for 10,000 VP?
At the current rules, 10 000 VP has a R100.00 base value. The 12% fee is R12.00, leaving a R88.00 net payout value. The Wallet shows the fee and net amount before submission.
Which payout methods does Odyssey Earn currently support?
The current cash-out methods are Airtime and PayShap. Airtime uses a valid South African mobile number. PayShap uses the ShapID for the intended payout account.
Are Odyssey Earn payouts instant?
No instant-payout promise is made. Cash-out requests are submitted for review, processing time can vary, and the Wallet lets you track the request status.
What happens after I submit a cash-out request?
The request appears in your Wallet and can move through Requested, Processing and Paid status. A request can also fail. The Wallet can show a failure reason, and confirmed redemption refunds return held VP through Odyssey's VP controls.
Can Odyssey delay or reject a payout request?
Yes. The current Terms allow Odyssey to delay, reject or request additional information where reasonably necessary for fraud review, security checks, or an incorrect or unverifiable payout destination.
Does pending VP count toward the cash-out minimum?
The Wallet cash-out flow is based on available VP. Pending VP is shown separately and becomes available after approval.
Can payout rules change?
Yes. Odyssey's current Terms state that earning rates, redemption values, fees or thresholds may change with reasonable notice where practical. This page reflects the rules reviewed on 24 August 2026.
