By creating an account on Odyssey Earn ("Platform"), operated by Odyssey AI Labs ("Company", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using this Platform.
You must be 18 years or older to use Odyssey Earn. By registering, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, are a resident of South Africa, and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. We reserve the right to verify your age and identity at any time.
Voice Points (VP) are an in-platform reward unit. The current base redemption value is 1 VP = R0.01 before the current cash-out fee. The current minimum cash-out threshold is 10,000 VP (R100 base value). A current 12% cash-out fee is applied when a redemption request is created, so 10,000 VP currently produces a net payout value of R88.00. VP cannot be transferred between accounts, sold, or exchanged outside the Platform. VP may be adjusted, reversed, forfeited, or cancelled where rewards were credited in error, reversed by an external provider, or linked to fraud, abuse, or account termination. We may change VP earning rates, redemption values, fees, or thresholds with reasonable notice where practical.
Odyssey Earn provides both Odyssey-owned earning activities and third-party earning opportunities. Odyssey-owned activities can include language and data tasks, internal research questions, and Odyssey Surveys. Rewards for Odyssey-owned activities are governed by the rules shown for that activity and credited by Odyssey when a valid completion is accepted. Odyssey Surveys are separate from surveys and offers supplied through third-party offerwalls. Third-party opportunities may be subject to provider eligibility, verification, availability, quality checks, reversals, or non-payment under that provider’s rules. We are not responsible for a third-party provider’s independent decision to reject or reverse a partner reward.
The following activities are strictly prohibited and may result in reward reversal, account suspension, account termination, and forfeiture of affected VP balances: (a) Creating multiple accounts or using shared devices to manipulate offers or rewards; (b) Using VPNs, proxies, or location-spoofing tools to misrepresent eligibility or location; (c) Using bots, scripts, automated tools, or any artificial means to complete tasks or surveys; (d) Submitting false, low-quality, plagiarised, or otherwise invalid content; (e) Attempting to manipulate, exploit, or reverse-engineer the VP system; (f) Misrepresenting your identity, location, or demographic information to Odyssey or third-party partners; (g) Intentionally bypassing eligibility rules for third-party surveys or offers; (h) Any activity that constitutes fraud against the Platform or its partners. We may use automated and manual controls to detect abuse and may report serious suspected fraud where legally appropriate.
By submitting language tasks including translations, captions, audio recordings, and labels, you grant Odyssey AI Labs a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute your contributions for AI training and commercial purposes. You confirm all submissions are your original work and do not infringe any third-party rights. You retain no ownership rights over submitted contributions.
The current Odyssey Earn cash-out methods are Airtime and PayShap. The current minimum cash-out is 10,000 VP. A current 12% cash-out fee applies to both methods and is shown before you submit the request. Airtime requires a valid South African mobile number. PayShap requires the ShapID for the intended payout account. Cash-out requests are submitted for review and their status can be tracked in your Wallet. Processing time may vary and is not guaranteed. We may delay, reject, or request additional information where reasonably necessary for fraud review, security checks, or an incorrect or unverifiable payout destination. Rejected requests are handled through the Platform’s redemption and VP refund controls.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at our sole discretion, including for suspected fraud, abuse, or violation of these terms. Upon termination for cause, all VP balances are forfeited. We will provide notice where reasonably possible except in cases of severe fraud where immediate termination is warranted.
Odyssey Earn is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Odyssey AI Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the value of VP you have earned in the 30 days preceding the claim. Third-party offerwall availability, reward rates, and survey availability may change without notice and are outside our control.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts. Applicable South African consumer and electronic-commerce laws may apply, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
