How Odyssey Earn works

Create a free account, complete earning activities that are available for your account, earn Voice Points, and request Airtime or PayShap cash-out after reaching the current minimum.

Odyssey Earn is a contributor and microtask platform. It does not guarantee employment, a fixed number of tasks, or a fixed amount of daily income.

The five-step flow

From account creation to cash-out

01

Create a free Odyssey Earn account

Odyssey Earn is web-based and free to join. Your account is the place where eligible tasks, research opportunities, your VP balance and cash-out tools are shown.

02

Choose from earning activities available to you

Inventory changes. You may see Odyssey language or data tasks, Odyssey-owned research surveys, and separate partner opportunities. Each activity shows its own rules and reward before you decide to complete it.

03

Complete the activity according to its rules

Different task types have different validation paths. Rewards are controlled by Odyssey's server-side task and reward rules rather than by a number typed into the browser.

04

Build your available Voice Points balance

Voice Points (VP) have a current base value of R0.01 per VP. Reward amounts and activity availability vary; Odyssey does not promise a fixed daily income.

05

Request cash-out when you reach the minimum

The current minimum is 10 000 available VP, equal to R100 base value. Current cash-out methods are Airtime and PayShap. A 12% cash-out fee applies and the Wallet shows the fee and net amount before submission.

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before you join

What is Odyssey Earn?

Odyssey Earn is a South African web platform where registered contributors can complete available language tasks, research and other earning activities for Voice Points (VP). It is a contributor and microtask platform, not salaried employment.

Is Odyssey Earn free to join?

Yes. Creating an Odyssey Earn account is currently free and does not require a credit card or signup fee.

How do I earn money on Odyssey Earn?

You earn VP by completing eligible earning activities shown in your account. Depending on current inventory, these can include language and data tasks, Odyssey-owned surveys and separate partner opportunities. Availability and reward values vary.

How much is one VP worth?

The current base value is 1 VP = R0.01.

How many VP do I need before I can cash out?

The current cash-out minimum is 10 000 available VP, which has a R100 base value before the current 12% cash-out fee.

How can I cash out from Odyssey Earn?

Airtime and PayShap are the two current cash-out methods. Cash-out requests are submitted through the Wallet for review, and the Wallet shows the current fee and net payout before submission.

Does Odyssey Earn guarantee tasks or daily earnings?

No. Task inventory, eligibility, partner availability and reward values can change. Odyssey Earn does not guarantee that a particular task type or amount of earnings will be available every day.

Are Odyssey Surveys the same as third-party survey offers?

No. Odyssey-owned Surveys are first-party research activities with Odyssey's own eligibility and reward rules. Third-party survey or offerwall opportunities are separate products and can have their own qualification, completion and reward rules.
